Standard Operating Procedures
The Grimy Grills way — every job, every time. Tap a section to expand.
Start of Day
- Clock in.
- Check your route and confirm each job's service type and any office notes.
- Stock your kit: degreaser, scrapers, grill brushes, microfiber towels, food-safe oil (for re-seasoning), gloves, drop cloths, trash bags, and a charged phone for photos/videos.
On Arrival
- Park considerately and bring drop cloths/protection in with you.
- Greet the homeowner, confirm the grill(s) and the service booked.
- Take BEFORE photos of the grill and grates.
- Lay down protection — never set greasy parts directly on the patio or lawn.
- Safety first: shut off the gas / disconnect propane before disassembly, and let a hot grill cool before deep cleaning. Wear gloves. Keep chemicals off plants and pets.
Services — What Each Includes
We offer: Standard Clean, Deep Clean, Grill Restoration, Maintenance Visit, Grate Re-seasoning, Rust Treatment, Burner Inspection, and Cover Install.
- Standard Clean — full surface clean of grates, interior, and exterior; remove grease and carbon buildup.
- Deep Clean — Standard plus full disassembly: burners, heat tents/plates, grease tray, and interior scraped to bare metal.
- Grill Restoration — Deep Clean plus rust treatment, re-seasoning, and bringing a neglected grill back to safe, usable condition.
- Maintenance Visit — lighter upkeep clean for grills on a recurring plan; includes the free inspection.
- Grate Re-seasoning — clean then coat grates with food-safe oil and heat-cure.
- Rust Treatment — remove surface rust and treat affected metal.
- Burner Inspection — check burners, igniters, and gas flow; flag anything unsafe.
- Cover Install — fit/install a protective grill cover.
Quality Standard (Every Job)
- Grates clean and re-seasoned; burners clear; interior scraped; exterior wiped and polished; grease tray emptied and cleaned.
- Every cleaning includes a FREE maintenance inspection — note burner/igniter condition, hoses, and any rust or safety concerns, and tell the office.
End-of-Job Requirements Mandatory
Complete all of these in the Post-Cleaning Checklist in this app before you leave:
- ~15-second video of the entire outside of the grill.
- ~15-second video of the grates.
- Photos of BOTH ends of the grates (left and right).
- Homeowner sign-off: if the homeowner is home, record their name. If the homeowner is NOT home, you must film a walkthrough video (minimum 20 seconds) showing the grill and talking through it — point out the small parts and the work done — and text that video to the homeowner before you leave.
- After photos.
Customer Interaction & Values
- We're faith-driven and run on integrity and transparency: tell the customer what you used and why, with no pressure and no hidden steps.
- Where it fits, mention the 3-visit maintenance plan (save 15% per cleaning).
- Thank them; payment is handled by the office.
Wrap-Up
- Pack out and leave the area cleaner than you found it.
- Submit the Post-Cleaning Checklist in this app before leaving the property.
- Clock out at the end of your shift.
